As\u00ed comienza la historia. Desde las primeras p\u00e1ginas de la Biblia aprendemos que Dios cre\u00f3 a los seres humanos “a su imagen y semejanza”. Hizo de Ad\u00e1n y Eva (los primeros seres humanos) Sus propios hijos -los protagonistas de Su historia- y les dio la vida m\u00e1s satisfactoria posible. Les pidi\u00f3 que gobernaran toda la tierra en su nombre y que ampliaran su familia, manteniendo al mismo tiempo una estrecha relaci\u00f3n con \u00c9l.<\/p>\n

En aquel tiempo, todo lo que Dios hab\u00eda creado era “muy bueno”. No hab\u00eda penurias, ni enfermedades, ni sufrimiento, ni muerte, ni desastres naturales, ni guerras. Todo era perfecto.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00bfPodr\u00edan los seres humanos haber pedido una vida mejor que \u00e9sta: gobernar todo el planeta, procrear y conocer a Dios personalmente? Todo ello era un entorno perfecto. S\u00f3lo un Dios amoroso pod\u00eda crear una existencia tan feliz para que la disfrut\u00e1ramos.<\/p>\n

Pero, \u00bfqu\u00e9 sali\u00f3 mal? \u00bfPor qu\u00e9 vivimos en un mundo tan diferente del que Dios cre\u00f3?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

A pesar de que Dios advirti\u00f3 a Ad\u00e1n y Eva de las consecuencias mortales para quienes comieran del fruto de cierto \u00e1rbol, ellos decidieron hacerlo de todos modos.

Al tomar la decisi\u00f3n de desobedecer, abandonaron la vida perfecta y eterna que Dios les hab\u00eda dado. Peor a\u00fan, sumieron a la humanidad en un ciclo interminable de rebeli\u00f3n y muerte. Como ves, todos los descendientes de Ad\u00e1n y Eva -incluy\u00e9ndonos- hemos heredado esta terrible tendencia a rebelarnos contra Dios.<\/p>\n

Aunque conocemos las leyes de Dios, que est\u00e1n escritas en la Biblia y en la conciencia humana (todos nacemos con un sentido del bien y del mal dado por Dios), infringimos sus normas una y otra vez. La Biblia lo expresa de esta manera: “Por cuanto todos pecaron, y est\u00e1n destituidos de la gloria de Dios” (Romanos 3:23). En otras palabras, nuestra rebeli\u00f3n nos impide vivir la vida gloriosa para la que fuimos dise\u00f1ados. Por eso nuestras vidas son mediocres en el mejor de los casos y miserables en el peor. No esperar\u00edas que a un oso polar le gustara vivir en el desierto porque no fue dise\u00f1ado para un clima c\u00e1lido. Sin embargo, los seres humanos se convencen a s\u00ed mismos de que pueden vivir en contra de lo que Dios dise\u00f1\u00f3 para ellos y salirse con la suya. Esta rebeli\u00f3n sin sentido contra Dios es la causa de todas nuestras desgracias. Las relaciones rotas, el crimen, el sufrimiento y todas las formas de maldad provienen de esta misma fuente. Y no podemos arreglarlo nosotros mismos. Entonces, \u00bfcu\u00e1l es la soluci\u00f3n?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Nuestra rebeli\u00f3n contra Dios no s\u00f3lo nos hace infelices a nosotros, tambi\u00e9n entristece a Dios. Y as\u00ed como un buen juez debe aplicar la ley a los criminales, as\u00ed el Juez santo y justo del universo debe juzgar a los pecadores. La Biblia lo dice de esta manera: “La paga del pecado es la muerte” (Romanos 6:23). Esto significa que, en la corte de Dios, merecemos morir por nuestros pecados. Peor a\u00fan, todo pecador est\u00e1 destinado al “lago de fuego” despu\u00e9s de la muerte. La Biblia dice: “Pero los cobardes, los incr\u00e9dulos [los que rechazan a Jes\u00fas], los abominables [los culpables de orgullo y de cualquier otro pecado repugnante para Dios], los asesinos, los fornicarios [los que se dedican al pecado sexual], los hechiceros, los id\u00f3latras y todos los mentirosos, tendr\u00e1n su parte en el lago que arde con fuego y azufre, que es la muerte segunda” (Apocalipsis 21:8)<\/p>\n

Pero si pensamos que el juicio de Dios es injusto, demostramos que somos criaturas incoherentes. Si alguien nos maltrata, nos roba o nos miente, exigimos justicia. Esperamos que secuestradores, asesinos y ladrones vayan a la c\u00e1rcel. Pero esperamos que Dios nos d\u00e9 carta blanca por nuestros delitos contra \u00e9l. No es as\u00ed como funciona. Dios no adapta su justicia a nuestras creencias. \u00c9l es perfectamente justo; por lo tanto, no puede permitir que el pecado quede impune. Y ninguna cantidad de buenas acciones por nuestra parte puede borrar la lista de cr\u00edmenes que hemos cometido contra \u00c9l.<\/p>\n

Pero he aqu\u00ed la buena noticia. Dios envi\u00f3 a su Hijo, el Se\u00f1or Jesucristo, para que cargara con nuestro castigo. La Biblia dice: “M\u00e1s Dios muestra su amor para con nosotros, en que siendo a\u00fan pecadores, Cristo muri\u00f3 por nosotros.” (Romanos 5:8). Aunque todos nos hemos rebelado contra Dios y merecemos su juicio, nunca ha dejado de amarnos. Estaba tan decidido a devolvernos a su historia -a una estrecha relaci\u00f3n con \u00c9l- que envi\u00f3 a su Hijo perfecto a morir por nuestros pecados. Jes\u00fas cumpli\u00f3 la exigencia de justicia de su Padre: carg\u00f3 con el castigo de la rebeli\u00f3n de toda la humanidad. Luego volvi\u00f3 a la vida, triunfante sobre el pecado y la muerte.<\/p>\n

Hoy est\u00e1 vivo y te invita a volver a la historia de Dios: todo lo que Ad\u00e1n y Eva perdieron cuando pecaron contra Dios, Jes\u00fas quiere devolv\u00e9rtelo. Tus pecados pueden ser perdonados y lavados. Puedes recibir el don de Dios de la vida eterna, para que el final de tu vida en la tierra no sea el final de tu historia, para que la muerte no sea un final tr\u00e1gico para ti, sino un nuevo comienzo: una puerta para pasar la eternidad con Dios en el cielo.<\/span><\/p>\n
